Is the centre suitable for access by disabled users?

Yes – access to facility via extra wide entrance doors and the facility is all on one level.

A pool hoist is available for customers with a physical disability to enter and exit the pool during public swim sessions.

Is there car parking available?

Yes, a car park is available which is free of charge to all customers of Farnworth Leisure Centre.

Do I have to be a member to use the leisure facilities?

No, you do not need to be a member to use Farnworth Leisure Centre. Activities are available on a ‘pay as you go’ basis as well as value for money membership packages.

To book for activities, such as workout classes and swimming lessons you simply need to become a Booking Customer. This can be achieved by clicking on the ‘register for bookings’ button on the right hand side of this page.

Are there lockers available?

Yes, swimming lockers accept £1 coin and the fitness and health suite lockers accept £1 coins and are returnable. There are coin locker keys to purchase at reception to ensure you will always have access to locker facilities each time you visit Farnworth Leisure Centre.

Am I eligible for free swimming?

If you are 17 years and under you are entitled to free swimming at Farnworth Leisure Centre. In addition, if you are 60 years and over and a resident of Bolton you are also entitled to free swimming at Farnworth Leisure Centre.

Can I buy clothing and equipment at the leisure centre?

Yes, Farnworth Leisure Centre provides a range of products. Whether they are goggles, swim costumes, fun inflatable for the swimming pool; accessories for racquet sports or water bottles, towels, kit bags for the fitness suite there is a range available for you to view on our on-line retail shop available.

Are the gym instructors qualified?

Yes, all gym instructors are qualified to a minimum of Focus Level 2 Fitness Instructor.

What clothing does my child need to wear for the holiday activity club?

It is recommended that your child wears clothing that is relevant to the activity they will be taking part in. For example tracksuit, trainers and t-shirt for multi-sports; swimming costume for mad splash.

Do children need to bring anything with them to the holiday club?

Packed lunch, pocket money, swimming costume/trunks, any medicine or inhalers.

Can I use my squid card at the leisure centre?

Yes, the bursary can be used to purchase gym memberships or other sports/leisure activities. The card can also be topped up on line and used to buy retail goods – online or at the leisure centre.

Can I top my squid up at the leisure centre?

No, not at the moment. The can be topped up online or at any of the retailers listed on squid network.
